Brussels, Manneken Pis

Posted 1 year ago by skip in response to avatar florance's question: Where is that funny statue of a boy peeing in Brussels? I don't want to miss it.. (give a different answer) .

You'll be disappointed, mainly about its diminutive size...Mannneken Pis isn't much of a miracle. You find it three blocks away from Grand Place, but you'll have to ask for some guidence 'cause the area is a labyrinth of small backstreets...I don't really get it why Mannneken Pis is their national symbol - it's just a bizarre fountain with a baby boy cheerfully having a leak...And they exploit it big time-all the small souvenir shops have Manneken Pis miniatures to enlight your living room, and even corkscrews made out of his...you know, thing....
