greenmile's question:
I heared that Bruges hosts the statue "Madonna and Child" of Michelangelo. Where can I see it?(give a different answer) .
In Mariastraat - see, even the street is baptized after Virgin Mary - there is the Onze Lieve Vrouwkerk, meaning the Church of our Lady. The small marble statue of Michelangelo, "Madonna and Child", a genuine art tresure, can be admired inside...It dates back to 1504, and it's the only work of the brilliant artist to ever have left Italy...The Belgians lost it many times-the occupying forces were fond of stealing it - but, like a miracle, the statue always returned in their hands. The entrance ticket in 2.50, but worth it!
